The City of Buffalo is requesting Statements of Qualifications from testing firms for Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections during construction of a new regional public safety training facility.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND INTRODUCTION
The project is located in Buffalo, Missouri. The project is approximately 6,750 SF new construction with bid alternates increasing it to 10,800 SF. It includes a large training room and two apparatus bays, as well as ancillary support spaces. Bid alternate square footage would add office space and a third apparatus bay. Construction generally includes pre-engineering metal building as the primary building structure. The floor slab, footings and foundations are constructed of cast-in-place concrete.
The Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection Firm shall provide qualified inspector(s) to perform on-site construction inspection and materials testing as required by the construction documents. Services shall be provided in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. TIMELINE FOR SUBMISSION
Qualifications shall be received at Buffalo City Hall, 115 South Maple Street, Buffalo, Missouri 65622, no later than 1:00 PM local time, Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Three (3) bound copies are to be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “RFQ for Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections for Buffalo Regional Training Facility” and addressed to:

This RFQ does not commit the City of Buffalo to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of qualifications submittal. The City of Buffalo reserves the right to accept or reject any
and all qualifications received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified offerors, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this proposal request, if in the best interest of the health department.
SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
Please include the following with your submittal:
1. Letter of interest indicating understanding of the project and proposed approach.
2. General qualifications of the firm.
3. Three (3) references demonstrating firm and proposed inspectors experience with projects of similar size, scope, and duration.
4. List of prior work experience and scope of similar projects.
5. Statements of qualifications for proposed staff that will be assigned to the project.
6. Testing facilities to be used for each type of lab work.
7. Sample reports for the various materials that may be expected on the projects.
8. After reviewing the project plans and specifications, please describe your project approach/management plan, specifically how you will perform your tasks.
9. Outline of potential additional scope not outlined in this RFQ.
